Dr. Shuck's primary areas of research include the application, meaning, and measurement of employee engagement, emerging areas of positive psychology, and leader development. In addition to Mike's roles at the University of Houston, he is also the Research Director of the Sales Excellence Institute. Mike’s research has primarily focused on improving the performance of salespeople and sales organizations. He has published over 40 articles in leading journals and was recently recognized by the American Marketing Association as one of the ten most productive research scholars in the field of marketing. George John, Ph.D.

George John, Ph.D.

Professor John received his bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, India in 1974 and his MBA from the University of Illinois in 1976. After earning his Ph.D. in Marketing from Northwestern in 1981, he joined the faculty at the University of Wisconsin. In 1987, he moved to the University of Minnesota. He is the Pillsbury-Gerot Chair in Marketing at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. His interests center around distribution channels and high tech marketing. Loewenstein is one of the founders of the field of behavioral economics and the field of neuroeconomics. His research focuses on applications of psychology to economics, and his specific interests include decision making over time, bargaining and negotiations, psychology and health, law and economics, the psychology of adaptation, the role of emotion in decision making, the psychology of curiosity, conflict of interest, and "out of control" behaviors such as impulsive violent crime and drug addiction. Professor Ran Kivetz is a tenured professor at Columbia University Business School, where he holds the Philip H. Geier endowed chair. Professor Kivetz is a leading expert in the areas of behavioral economics, decision-making, marketing, customer behavior, incentives, and innovation. His experience in these fields includes over twenty years of research, management, consulting, and teaching. Scott Jeffrey, Ph.D.

Scott Jeffrey, Ph.D.

Dr. Jeffrey joined Monmouth University in September of 2009 and teaches courses in organizational behavior and management. Prior to coming to Monmouth University, he taught organizational behavior and behavioral decision making at the University of Waterloo in southern Ontario, Canada. His current research interests revolve around the use of incentives in organizations, both for employees and for customers. In particular, he is interested in tangible incentives; high-end merchandise and travel. His most current project is leading up a research team exploring the motivational events industry.
